The Lincolu (Kansas) Woman suffrage society has undertakeu the study o municipal government. Municipal suffrage has jusf, been grnnted by Parliaraent to the wonen householders of Belfast, Ireland. Doctors Anna Broomall and Clara Marshall have been appointed assistan medical examiners by the Mutual life insurance company of Philadelphia. Miss Nieison, the tirst Danish lady physician, has just begun to practice a' (Jopenhagen. ahe took her degree with the highest honors. Mrs. Salís Sohwabe, by a gift o $2,000 to the Teachers' Training and Kegistration society in Naples, has enabled it to establiah its work on a permanent basis. Mre. LHitbcllii Prince, of San Francisco, has been engaged to go to Tokio, to teaoh the Japanese ladies of rank houaehold science as it is practiced in the United States. Speaking of woman's labor, Mr. Powlerly defined the position of the order in favor of absolute eqnality between the sexes, the same pay for the same work whether done by man or woman. The argument of Hon. Charles B. Waite, of Chicago, showing that America suffrage is a right of citizenship, is attracting the attention of lawyers yerywhere, and meeta with approval in infiuential and unexpected quarters. Women authors are requested to send a copy of their works to Inter-State Exlosition, to be held in Chicago from Sept. 7 to Oct. 22, 1887. Donations are also solioited, the proceeds of which will be used to secare municipal woman suffrage in Illinois. Letters and packages shoald be addressed to Alice B. Htockham, M.
