The secretary of the interior has revoked the order oí withdrawal of indemnit y lands for the benent of the Atlantic & Pacific railroad conipany, and in a long letter to the conimissioner of the genera' 'and office directa that they may be restored to settlenient under the pre-emption and homestead laws. It is stated that between 25,000,000 and 80,00 ,00ü acres are involved in tbis decisión in the case oí the Atlantic & Pacillc company alone. 'i he order also applies to all of the other railroads nanied in the secretary's rulas oí May :.3 lnst, exoept the St. Paul, Minne apoiis & Manitoba, the liastiugs & Dakota, the Bt. Paul & Pacific, tbe St. Paul iSioux City, the fSioux City & St. Paul and the Winona & St. Peters. These are stil] under consideration and undecided.
