Editor of The Democrat Dear fiür - I wisk to express, tkrougu your paper, my heartfelt thanks and apreciation to the people of St. Andrew's sburch and Geddes' Mission, for the beautif ui heavy gold watch presented to me, at the unión picnic, Thursday, the 8th inst. It was the grentest and happiest surrise I have ever experienced. Suoh a watoh, coming from the people of Ann Arbor as it does, is of priceless value to ;he owner. Already it bas proven of great service, assisting me in obtaining one of the best positions in the Michigan chools. I am very glad tüat I have had the opportunity of spending my time in a useful way iluring my four years of university life in Ann Arbor. I have been greatly blessed in return. It is with some feelings of sadness ;hat I sever my connectiou with Ann Arbor, but I know that in the hearts of my many frietnis. I Bhall ever be remembered as 1 shall remember them. I hope that many young men may step up and take my place, and lili it even with better service. Again I thank you, and with a God bless you, I remain, Ever your friend.
