There has Úeen no fighting near Meeker, Col., since August 2t, but tbere are over 60U Indiana camped within six miles of Meeker. They are ready to fight on the slightest provocation. The loss of their squaws and nearly 3 0 ponies have made tliem wild. They are anxious for revengo. In the last battle five whites, seven Indians and two squaws wer killed nnd five wounded. It is reported that Colorow hus stat.ed that he can get "heup young bucks from White river, heap Uncompahgre, Navajo, who are young and want heap fight, and unless white men go back Colorow send for them." lf he shoiild, and make the attack, the militia and settlers estímate that it would take the com liincd efforts of the 2.000 regulars to drive them back to the reservation. The general opinión seerus to le that the war upon the Utes is unwarranted. and that the whites are rcally the aggresors. _
