A New Move By Labor Agitators
Preliminary arrnngements bave been made for tho holding in St. Louis, Mo., about the middle of December of a conference of all labor political elementa or factions in the country, at which there will be representativos Trom all sections of the Union. The object of the confer ence is said to be to harmonizo all tho fttctions of tho labor party under one banner for the campaign next jear and to adopt a general platform. Another purpose is to decido upon a new name one in which the word ubor will not appear. The national free soil party is the nu ui o which it is thought will be adopted. It is expected that Htnry (eorgo will be a prominent figuro in the conference and that it will adopt li s land theory. It is also expected that tho conference will fix a date and place for holding a uationai noininating convention. If this is done an effort will be made tohave the convention held in St. 1 ouis.
