In September, lsSfi, a tract oL land next to Hissisgppi park in St. Pau), Minn., was platted into an addition and ïiamed Cleveland park in honor of tbo president. 1 hinking it would please President Cleveland, they sent him a warrantoe deed to tbe corner of Grover and l'olsom avenues, andan abstract of the titie.as a present and tokeu of esteem and regard. Mr. Hayes of St. Paul, has received a quit claim deed to the parties mentioned, executed by Grover and 'ranees Cleveland, accompanied by the following letter in the president's own hand' I tend vou with this a quit claim deed, executed "by Mrs. Cleveland and niyself to you and other parties who were grantors in a deed to me of premises in Cleveland park, near the city of St. Paul. ïha object of the deed inclosed is to reconvey the property described therein to th parties who, with the kinlest intentions, transferred it to me as a gift. I don'fc know why this land should be given to me, and if it is of value X think those who by their euterprise havo laid out the park should have the benefit of it. 1 am mueh pleased by tbe kindly feeling whicli prompted the conveyance to me, and bes to assure you that the pleasure thus aLforded is fully equal to that which l should experience by the retention of the lot which I reconvey.
