Ten Boarders Roasted
About midnight on the night of Jan. 21 the boarding house and saluon of elson Iiarn:iby ut Tower, Mimi., was discovered to be on fire. The house was tille.1 with boarders, all being in bed. The building was a wouden structure and the fire had gained such headway before being dlsoov'ered that attenips to save it were fr uitlos. Many of the boarders succeeded in snvmthemselves by jumping from secoud and third story wiudows, lut about ten unfortunate creatures, henimed in by the llamea on uil sides, perishod iu tliu conüagration. The following is a list of the victima so far as kuown: Kobert Whitford, U'm. liurns, Alike Tierney, Dan U'ConneiI, und a ütranger who arrived the night from Duluth. The names of tho othurs who were burned are as yet uukuown.
