The Falladium board is working hard. Gibson will take the senior deiits' pictures. Junior hop one week from to-night in the rink . The law department now numbers 331 students. The clase of '91 hai decided on the cap and gown. The Psi U house is to be lighted with lectrioity . Dr. Vincent will lecture in university hall Feb. 25. P. F. Gosley haa been elected historian of the olasB of '88. The regents did not meet last evening but will on Feb. 17. The Glee olub give a charity concert in Jackson this evening. It takes 15 tong of coal a day to heat the university buildings. Hobart guild lost about $25 on the Dante leotures last week. There are now twenty-threo Japanese studente in the university. Prof. 8. A. Jones will lecture bef ore the Uahnemannian society Fob. 16. A deligbtful time is reported at the social hld at ilobart hall lust evening. Dr. Gibbes, tbenew professor from England, has rented No. 33, Kast Ann street. The students are now preparing for their final examinations for this semeiter. A bust of Aristotle is to be procured for the university by the classes in philosophy. 24,000 tons of coal and 200 corda of wood, were used aa f uel at the university last year. Prof. Pettee has the entire supervisión and preparing of the university calendar this year. Next Monday evening the Unity club will give a musical evening, in charge of Mr. K. O. Cole. The Detroit sooiety orohestra furnishes the musio for the junior hop next Friday vening. Dr. Ford will deliver the memorial address in honor of th late Dr. Palmer sometime this month. Cooper Robeson, lit, olass of '85, now one ot Ohio's representatives is in the city visiting old friends. T. O. Trueblood, professor of elocution in the law department, has donated $100 to the gymnasium fund. Prof. Morris lectured in Trinity ooilege, Toronto, Ont., last Friday eveniug on " Socialism and Pessimism." Prof. Carhart is to deliver the next lecture on the bible, at the .Methodist church Sunday morning after the sermón. Prof. II. C. Adams delivered a very able and interesting address last Friday evening on " Our National Surplus." Mrs. Prof. Stowell is now editor of the microscopical department of the tnaceutical Lra, published in Detroit. Dr. H. O. Adama leotured at the univeraity of Penn., Wednesday evening, and in Boston, Thuraday, of tlïis week . Chas. Reed law '87 ia engaged in the practica of law at Dallas, Texas, lle is a member of the firm of Porter & Reed. A oommittee of the law clans is in correspondence with Judge West, of Ühio, to Bocure him aa their orator for February 22d.
