Prof. John Dewey has accepted the poBition offered him at the university of .Minnesota. Judge Brown has finished his courae of lectures on "Admiralty law' to the uw student. A game of base ball has been arranged jetwetm the university and Chicago teams for May 18. The glee club will sing in this oity soon after their return froin their concert tour in the spring. Miss Julia Caruthera will play an instrumental solo in univeraity hall to morrow night before the Alpha Nu ani Jeffersoniau societies. Prof. Wade Kogers has been elected a trustee of the S. C. A. vice Prof. inchell resigned, and Prof. Demmon aots in place of Prof. Payne. The university is to print 9 volume commemorative of the semi-centenuial celebration of last June. It will contain a complete resume of last commencement. About 225 studeuts who favored looal option paraded the streets tiaturday afternoon with musio and banoers. At 5 o'olook they marohed to the rink where short speeches were made by members of the different departments. There will he a public debate to-morrow evening in university hall between the Alpha Nu society of the literary departtnent, and the Jeffereonian society of the law department.
