The dependeut ponsion bill, as passcd by the senate, is substantially the sume as the bill vetoed ly the president last May. It provides that all persons who served three months or more in the military or naval service during the late rebellion, who have been honorably discharged and who are now, or who may Iwreafter, bo Sufferlng froin mental or physical disability, not the result ot thelr own vicious habits, whloh totally incapacítate them for the performance of manual labor, and are without otuer adequate nieans of self-support, shall receive a pension of $1J per mimi li. It does not permit this in addition to other pension. Rank is not considerad. The vote of the senati gbowed that the bill runnot be passed oye the veto if the president repeats nis aetion of last year.
