College opened Tuesday. Prof. E. Jones is on the sick list. The Oracle will appear next week. Librarían Davis has returned f rom tbe east. Freshman banquet at Hangeterfer's Apnl 27. A. M. Porter. a dental student will lócate in South Lyon, May 1. M. M. Bigelow, of Boston, hns begun his lectures to the law students. Next Tuesday, Charles Truax, of Chicago, will lecture before the medical students. The university library has received congrcssioual and general publio documents from Washington. Dean Gray, of Cambridge theologioal seminary, will preach before the studente of Hobart guild in St. Andrew's church Sunday morning. He will also preaoh in the even ing. By the request of the university senate Dr. Ford will give an address on the life and services of Dr. Palmer, in univereity hall on Sunday next, at 3 o'clock, p. m. The public ate invited. Newberry hall expects to have an endowment fund of $20,000 and will have lectures similar to Hobart hall and the Tappan lectures. Work on tbe new building begins at once. The glee club ís to be congratulated upon its successful spring concert tour. The boys have returned ladened with honors and it is doubtful whether they oan settle down at once to prosy college work, as wherever they sang they were warmly received, have been dined and wined, and had a series of ovations during their trip of two week. The glee club reflecta great credit upon the university, and it ia hoped they will soon give a concert in this city.
