A determinad effort is being made in faror of "Blinky1' Morgan, the condenmed liavenna (Ohio) murderer. Gov. Foraker ís iiu'lini'il to believe that, inasmuch as ho was convicted on the same testimoiiy that linally resulted in Coughlin's beiug reeased and Itobinson's securing a new trial, he should also be given another chance for liis life. He has aecordingly called a meetnK of the stak' board of pardons to consider the case, and it is probable that Morgan's sentence wiü be coraimited to imprisomient for life or that he will be reprieved.. The people of Alpena couty would, how;ver, prefer to see him hanged, and in case he is released in Ohjo he v bo pi-omptly pouneed upon fey the authorities l'i-om Muhigan, and returned to the seeno of his erime in Alpena for trial.
