Charles E. Hugh, of Northfield died Tuly 7th, of congestión of the brain, aged 2 years. John Thews, a laborer, was eunstruck last Friday, which causea his death a few hours later, he was baried Sunday. Mrs. N. G. Gates, an oíd resident of this city died Wednesday. The funeral will bu held this afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the residence.in the 5th ward. Andrew Kentshler, of Salem, diud Monday aged over 60 yeare, of kidney disease. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at the Saleni Gerrnan church. A little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter PetersoD, of Miller Ave., died Monday, after an ïllnees of a month or more. The funeral was at the house on Wednesday morning. Mrs. Traver, widow of tbe late.John I. Traver, of the 5th ward, died at tbe residence of her son Theodore, in Detroit, Wedneeday, and her remains were bro't to ibis city yesterday and interred in the 5th ward cemetery. The remains of Will Parker, who died in San Jacinto, Cal., June 30th, reached this city last Sunday morning, and the burial services were held at the cemetery in the preaence of the family and a few frienus at 5 o'clock Hunday afternoon. James Quinlan, of the fourth ward, died Saturday, aged 65 years. The funeral was held Wednesday niorniug from St. Thomas' church. Mr. Quinlan left four cbildren, Ed. of East Saginaw, and three unmarried ones living in this city. "Saín, what is bigoted?"- "Why," said Pete, "bigoted is knowing too rauch for one nigger and not 'nuff for two. Yah, yah !" "Now this is what I cali business," remarked a Brooklyn undertaker, as an uufortunate gentleman stepped into his store and died. Young men persist in hugging delusious, and that's the reason, probably, why so many young ladies wear those delusion shawls. A little boy who had been used to re ceiving hia brother's old toys and clothes" recently asked: "Ala, shall I have to marry his widow when he dies."
