"Nut as Iwill." Blindfolded and alone I wuit: l.uss sífilis too bitter, pain too late; Too heavy burdens ín the load. And too Í6W bolpers on the pond ; And jo.v is wi-.ik and grief is Btrong, And yoais and days so long, so long ! Yet thi one thing 1 Learn to know Each day more surely as I go, That I ani glad the good and ill By i'hungeless law are ordered still, "Not asi will." "Not as I wiU" - tho sound ki'ows swcot Each time my lips the words ro))eat. "Not as 1 will I" The darkness feels More safe than light when this thought steals Like whispered voice to calm and bless All unrest and all loueliness.
