Hannah Graves, colored, has had a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Graves is a woman much respeoted by both the white and colored people who will regret to hear of her illness. Mrs. Gilbert wbo broke her hip several months ago when visiting her son, E. N. Gilbert, has been taken to Henry Gilbert's on E. Ann street, a son who has lately removed here f rom Chelsea. The vestry of 8t. Andrew's ohuroh have passed appropriate reeolutions on the deatli of Bishop Harris, and will attend his funeral at St. Paul's church, Detroit, next Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Hon. C. R. Whitman made the woods and surrouuding country ring with his eloquenoe last Saturday, at Dundee, where a democratie pole was raised. People were there from all over and everywhere. Dr. Breakey, his daughter, Miss May and sou James, left last Friday for a trip up the lakes to Duluth. They will visit St. Paul, Minnesota and Chicago, where Mrs . Mr. James leaves $5,000 to each of 21 nieces and nephews, and to James L. Babcock f30,000 and the interest on $250,000 for five years.
