The present agitation regarding the queetiOD of oheaper postage is receiving attention here. The reduotioncontemplated would be an enactment which would please all, as their pocketbooks are aftected on the nght uide, and in this case it would be very frequently. Especially is thiB so m relation to the reduotion of postage oh fourth cluss matter, or merging it with the third clasa. By thia the rate of 1 cent tot eaoh 2 ounces on the latter in especteil to upply to the fourth olass, on whioh the present rate is 1 cent per pound. The merginj? of the two classes, or the reduotion of the rate on the fourth class, ie what aflects the people moBt.
