Will Investigate The Mckinstry Charges

In response to the cali of the chairraan, the Kopnblican county committee met here Saturday and unanimously passed the following resolution: "To the Honorable Seth C. Randall, Proseouting Attorney of Washtenaw Countj, Michigan: - It having been brought to the notice of the Republiean committee of said county, that C. P. McKinstry, register of deeds.is charged with certain misconduct, irregulanties, and neglect of duty in the management of said oftice. Therefore, the said Republiean committee through its chairman does hereby petition you to investígate said charges, and if you flnd thein to be true, to take such steps as you may deern necessary and proper, under the laws of Michigan in such cases made and provided, to the end that that the laws of said state may be duly v'ndicated." Twenty eight gentlemen attended the meeting. It was stated that the only desire of the committee was to clear the party of any dishonor because of Mr. McKinstry's election as its candidate, and not because of any personal spite against the accused register.
