On Friday of last week Jimmy iilytlienïaii took a smal] boy wif.li hiin and Lnto.Doty & Feíner's shoe. store on Main st. Mr. Feiner was absent at ctinner, and while Jír. Doíy's back was türned waiting on a custómer, Blythe ' to persuade the small boy to tioney drawer. Failing in this o the drawer hirnself and took out a ten dollar bilí. líe lirst went np on state st. and got it changed for two IÍ ves. From there lie went to lower and got o,ne live changed into . Hè was then ready for business. Oñ Monday hé was arrested byMarshal Ptterson and placed in.jail. On going down to see hiin Wednesday morning Marshal. Peterson fouhd hini busily trying to dig lus way out with'a case knife. He had outlined á hule big enough for him to crawl through, and ín one place had gat down to the bricks. Blytheman seems to be au ineorrigible ; young tough, and should be sent where he will be attended to for some time. Ilis last oiïense. committed at Harkins' store, should have sent him over the road, but mistaken sympathy seems to have let him off. Ilis hearing bas been postponed to Nov. 6th, when he w iil be bound over to the circuit court.
