Michigan has been heralded all over the land as a doubtful state and during most of the campaign the silver-demoerats have elaimed it. But on Tuesday she repudiated these statements, and took her place on the side of sound money and prosperity. The republicans have elected the entire state ticket and ten congressmen. ïodd of Kalamazoo, defeated Milnes, as was expected, but the defeat of Linton, the great A. P. A. leader, was not anticipated. The republicans are also in control of the legislature. Xlany of the country districts that were supposed to be strongly touched with the silver sentiment came out strong for honest money. VOTE FOK PRESIDENT AND GOVERNOR BY COUNT1ES. The result is a great triumph for good government, and anadded proof that there is such a thing as a public conscience. The appeals which have been made to the manhood of the people have not been made in vain. The example of the Gold-Democracy in the manly stand they have made for principie, will have a good effect on politics for many years to come, and will be used many times in urging American voters to put principie above party
