At 8:25 Thursday evening William F. Bryan, upon the advice of Chairman iones, conceded üie election of Major McKinley, and sent the following mesage to the successful candidate: "Ilon. William McKinley, Cantón, Ohio- Senator Jones has just informed me that the returns indícate your elecion, and I hasten to extend my con?ratulations. We have submittêd the ssues to the American people, and heir will is law. "William J. Bryan." At noon Friday Major McKinley reponded in the following telegram: "I acknowledge the receipt of your ourteous message of congratulafions vith thanks, and beg you will receive my best wishes for ybur health and appiness.
