Prof. Hinsdale, Dean of the homeopathie department of the university. lectured in the Unity club course Monday evening upon, "Some Primitiveln ventions; the string, the knife and the ax being the earliest inventions of primitive man, and suggestive of most all other inventions which have followetl and lifted man above the plane of the lower animáis." The lecture was a very interesting one, and was illustrated at its close by some of the stone implements of primitive races. There was a fair audience present and it was mach interested in the professor's lecture, which showed very clearly the immense progress mankind has already made in the past, suggested the marvelous possibilities of the future. Jiext Monday evening Rev. Lee S. MeCollester of Detroit will give an llustrated lecture in the course upon 'Someold Xew EnglandSuperstitions."
