An Unsatisfactory Subject
Chicago Uaiveraity has selected a most unsatisfactory subject for the nnmial debate:- "Kesolved, ïhat the practice of theological seminaries in encouraging young men studying for the ministery, by giving them free tuition and iree lodging should be discontinued." Under the rules Michigan must accept thequestion if Chicago insists, but they have protested against it because not of general interest, and because the question plainly puts Michigan at a disadvantage. Chicago with her theological department has evidently picked out a questioi to suit herelf.
