Owing to tlie lack of accommodations, Mansfleldwas obliged to change the play to be presented by bim on Wedriesday evening, and in place of "Castle Sombras," gave "Dr. J.eky] and Mr. Ilyde." It is safe to say that few who saw him were disappoiated with the cbange. Mansfleld stands absolutely done in tliis work. Ilis portrayal of the dual role of Jekyl and Hyde was the strongest piece of acting seen in Aim Arborthis year. One was compelled to in a measure forget the horribleness of Ilyde, in his[longing pity for the distressed Jekyl. Horror and pity combined, left in one's miud a strong warning against yielding to the baser things in our lives. The management of the opera house gains new friends with every presentation of Buch an atlraetion as Mansfleld.
