Farmers are scurrying the country for sheep. John Baumgardner of Ann Arbor was iti town Wednesday. Rev. Frank liloomlield and family now occupy the Bycraft house. Johnson Backus left for Chicago Tuesdayto purchase acarload of sheep. Mr. and Mra. A. R. Beal of Detroit, former reiidents of this place, visited friends here Wednesday. A movement is on f oot to re-organize the üexter Cornet Band, a subscripüoii paper being circulated yesterday for that purpose. " A pound souial " was given Eev. Staley of the Congregational church at the parsonage last night, which was well atteuded. The Rev. Keibling of Farmington, will have charge of the Lutheran church here this winter. He will occupy the Hawks resident. Assistant cashier E. II. Carpenter of the bavings Bank, will doubtless succeed cashier Xewkirk, when the latter begins his duties in Ann Arbor.
