Recital By Prof. Clarke

Prof. S. H. Clarke of Chicago University, entertained about 600 people at University hall, last Saturday evening, with his recital of King Lear. Prof. Clarke's ability as a Shakesp arian reader was not over stated in the anTioimcements, and from ttart to close he held the attention of his audience. The proceeds of the entertainment will be sufflcient to clear the Northern Oratorical League of debt, and the management are very grateful to Prof. Clarke f or his assistance. It was not Prof. Clarke's first áppearance in Ann Arbor, and we trust it may not be his last.
