New York, Nov. 25.- The engine, baggage and mail car of the Southern express from Florida, on the Pennsylvania railwaV was thrown from the tracks at New Brunswick, N. J., Wednesday -morning. The engineer and fireman were instantly killed and. three men were Injured- ona badly. The three sleepers which, with the cars Indicated, made up the train, did not leave the rails. The accident was caused by the breaking oí an axle on a car of a freight train which was passing south on another track. The car swung out from its place and struck the forward end of the passen ger train, knocking the engine and two cars down an embankment. None o the passengers was hurt. The name of the men killed are: Joseph M. Eag an of Philadelphia, engineer; H. W Chichester, Jersey City, fireman. Th accident occurred at 5:10 in the mom ing at Milestone Junction, a place jus outside of the limits of New Bruns wiek. Both trains were east-bounc running on parallel tracks, and not i opposite directions as previousl etated.
