Omahí, Neb., Nov. 24. - Charles H. Elliott, novv in the Doug-lass county jail, has confessed to the murder oL Quy Hutsonpiller, his friend, in the Windsor hotel here last Tuesday. His confession covers twenty tpye written ; pages. He says Huisonpiller was about to lea ve for Montana, and continúes: "I owed him $15 and wanted him to sign,a receipt for it, and he would not. I told him I would not pay unless he did. He called me a fool and said he would take it out of my hide." Elliott then picked up a coupling pin and struck his friend, and becomingalarmed at his hard breathing, went to a drur store and boug-ht 15 cents' woi-th of chloroform, saturated a towel with it ' and put it over Hutsonpiller's face. Klliott then left the hotel and took the 4:45 Northwestern train east and was arrested at Cedar Rapids. He did not know at that time that Hutsonpiller was dead. He adds: "I only took $21.35 of Hutsonpiller's money. The rest of the msney found on me, about $65, was sent me by my únele at Akon, O.
