Eight Persons Drowned

Point Arena, Cal., Nov. 24. - The remainder of the crew on the wrecked steamer San Benito was rescued Monday by boat and transferred to a steamer. The survivors, numbering twenty-three, were taken to Mendieeno. The wreek is in the same condition as it was Sunday night. The steamer wlll be a total loss. Thirtyfive men were saved and eig-ht lost.
