At the Board meeting Monday night it was decided that the regular quarterly meeting of the Association (which failed to materialize in November) should not be held until the schedule time, in February. Ten new members were voted in. A joint meeting of the Board and the Entertainment Committee will arrange for the New Year's reception. This meeting is callecl for Friday evening, Dec. llth at 7:30. If you are on either board or committee don't fail to be there. The general secretary reports no less than 98 calis received at the rooms during themonth 35 of these were from girls wishing employment. She has marie 46 calis in the interest of the association and the invitation committee have made about 20 more. Severa! weeks ago word was seiit to our Sunday meeting asking fhat someof our girls c-all on a young woman at the hospital. Two went there iu less than an hour, and found a beautiful christian girl whose funds had not been sufflcient for her eiuergency. Through the generosity of the association girls, and their energy in enlisting the sympathy of their friends and other organizations the trouble was lifted from the sick girl's mind, her board was paid, and she now has gone home with a warm spot in her heart for the Y. "W . C. A. There is hardly a Sunday when some one does not say "This is the best meeting yet." Our class work is going on nicely, Wednesday evening being the only one when the rooms are not open. Some few have not yet paid their class fees, and it is necessary that they be paid promptly. AVhen this months expenses are paid the surplus in the treasury will be very small, and it is asked that the dues come in as fast as possible.
