'99's Oracle has beeu issued f rom The Inland Press, and well sustains the reputation of this tirae honored annual. ïhe book is a departure in shape f rom most of its predecessors, being 9J inches long, by fv; high. The cover is a neat design in black and red. The book is dedicated to the Athletic association as the guiding star of all true college spirit. The leading article is a sketch of Regent lïarbour, written by Miss (iertrude Buck, and accompanied by an excellent half tone likeness of that popular official. Pro!. Stanley contributes an il ustrated article on the School of Music; and Prof. Geo. Rebec, an cxceedingly interesting sketch of Prof. Mark Wenley. The prize story, "The Consola! ion of Philosophy" by J. S. Lathers, with two other stones submitted in the contest make up the fiction. Cuts, and lists of members of the various clasa organizations; a review of the Foot-Ball season by Capt. Senter: logether with the prize drawing by Miss Bessie Dunster, represent ing Dean Mosher with stalwart co-ed backing, making a touchdown against the male medies, complete the book with the exception of the ''grind" department, which is only perpetrated because t is expected.
