The semi-annual inspection of the Ann Arbor Light Infantry was held at the armory, Y'-d' csday evening. 11 e inspection was held by Col. John "E. Tyrrell of Jackson, assisted by Capt. VVm. Haven of Tecumseh, and Maj. Belser of this city. Col. ïyrrell presentad to l?egent Dean, for the University, the flrst tlag issued to Michigan troops in the 60"s. A. J. Sawyer presented the medals as follows : SilTer medals for a year's attendance at drill toLieut, W. H. Armstrong, Sergt. W. C. Cooper, Corps. Frecl Huutoon, Karl Kern and Victor Kaufman, and privates Leo Gruner and George Kyer. Bronze medals for six months' attendance to Sergt. Jacob Gwynner, Corp. R. Jones, Quartermaster Arthur Jones and privates George Fiseher, Ralph M;lkr, Gilbert Perrine, Ed. O. Schairer, Josepli Seabolt, A. C. Warren and Bruce Munroe. Aun Arbor has a military coinpanyof which she may well be proud, and the boys should receive the encouiagement of the citizens.
