On the two coming Monday evenings Rev. ,T. ï. Sunderland will give his two lectures in the l'nity ('lub Course on "India." Xext Moncutj évening (January lts) his subject will be "The üreat Ci'ties of India." He will describe 15ombay the splendid commercial metropolis of the West, one of the flnest cities of the world; Madras, the great emporium of the South; Calcutta, the "City of Palaces" and the capital of the Britïsh Indian Empire; Foona the historie capital of the warlike Wahrctta chiefs, and Jeypore a typical capital of a rich Hindú i'rince. A week from next Monday evening, (January 25) his subject will be "lJicturesquè India, or Village Life. Knglish Slimmer capitals in the Ilills. Junctie Scènes, and the Scènes in the ilinialayas." He brought home from India a "large number of pictures, from which he has had stereoptican slides manufacturad to illustrate his lectures. Admission to the lectures 25 cents each.
