The Washtenaw Mutual
The Washtenaw Mutual Insurance Company met at Court House Tuesday afternoon. About two hundred members were present. Although the losses for the last year have been somewhat larger thau usual, yet the assessment has been only f3.00 per $1,000, which is still a great deal cheaper than stock insurance. John V. Spafford of Manchester, A. Ii. Graves of Manchester, and H. C. lieeyes of Dexter, were elected to positions on the board of directora. .1. W-. Wing of Soto. II. W. Bassett of Lodi, and A W. Chapman of ylvan, were elected auditors. The directors organized by reelecting Emory E. Leiand, president and W. K. Chiids, secretary and treasurer. During the past year the company has adjusted 72 cases aggrejrating about $17,000, an assessment of S3 per 1,000 being necessary. Tlie assessment needed last year 'was S2 30 per 81,000. The present membership is 3,009, a net gain of 15. The net amount of risks is 5,232,645. This is a net loss of $51,975. .
