Base ball prospects are improving. It was thought 1 1 ■ at because of the mimber oí' new men on the team, we should not be able to nuke much of a showing. Hut the fact that amateurs are to play shows that there is material on hand. for a number of men with good records are showing up. and prospects are that we shall have a good team. Indeed, it looks as though the old men who last year were supposed to have a cinch on the positi n mav have kept a number of gooil players from trying for the team. Ameteurism is the only proper policy, and may be made to pay directly if this is the case.
