Col. Dean, having heen detailed by Department Commander Shakespeare as instelling oflicer, reported for duty Tuesday evening, at (i. A R. hall, and installed the following officers for WVlch Post. Childfl; Qnartermaster- Chas. S. Elmer; Adjutant- Jame B. Saunders; Oflicer of the Day- Hi A. Sweet: Surgeon- Dr. W. F. Breakey; [naide fiuard- Conrad Noli: Sergeant Major- J. ({. A. Miss Emma Bower acted as Conductor for the evening, and did her part in a very satisfactory manner. SONS OF VETERANS. J. T. Jacobs Camp, S. of V., then took possession of G. A. Ii. hall. and Major Harrison oule. having been detailed as installing otlicer tor the. camp, was introduced and installed the following orlicers for the ensuing year: Captain- C. M. Stevens: First Lieutenant- E. C. Krapf: Second Lieutenant- Henry Allmendinger; Camp Council- V. O. Thomas. W. H. Krapf and G. V. Coates; Staff- V. S. Hudson - Chapjain; Wm. II. Krapf- First Sergeant: G. V. Coates - (uartermaster Sergeant: W. O.Thomas - Sergeant of the Guard; Color Sergeaut - James B. Saunders, 5r.: Principal Musician - C. Z. Strong: Corporal of the Guard - Frank Garlinghouse; Camp Guard- John L. Cox; Pieket Guard - Wm. Bowen. The installation exercises having been eoncluded, the ladies of the Corps rega ed those prrsent with hot coffee and sandwiches, and an hour soon passed away in a conversational social. Xhus the newly elected officers for 1897 were placed in charge with a general imderstanding that they would receive the united assis'ance of the three organizations, in their endeavors to make the coming year a noted one for the purposes for which they are formed.
