William Gillette's famous play willbe presented at the Ypsilanti Grand Opera ilouse Friday, March 26, by the Uni versity of Michigan Comedy Club Two weeks ago the farce was pro duced at Aun Arbor and mide so great í hit th-at the administrativo boar of the Unive'-sity faculty lias decidec to allow the club to present the play ii Ypsilanti with its full approval. The Private Secretary needs no introduction to the theater goers of Ypsilanti, umi though ït has never been seen heré it is as well known by name and reputation as any play now bef ore the public. lts author. Williarn Gillette, has written plays si nee the original preduction of the Private Secretary that have served to place his name at the head of the list of living American dramatists. Funny and dramatic as are Too Muco Johnson and field by the Knemy, there are more laughs in The Private Secretary than in all the author's other work combined. Wh.at could be more amusing than the predicaments a sad-faeed minister finds himself in owing to the boyish pranksof a pair of modern London youths? Thepiece will be produced here by the same cast that made the hit with the magnificent audience that saw the Club's performance in Ann Arbor two weeks ago. Here. as there, the Club will appear under the patronage of many well known ladies and that the lerform mee will be one of the social events of the season goes without saying. An appreciative and higlily complimentary notice of the Club's work may befound inlast week's Demoorat wherein is stated that the Club is ama tfurish in no particular but professional and finisued ia every respect.
