The case of Hattie M. Bond vs. the L. S. & M. S. Ry Co., was decided by iie jury yesterday in favor of the plain;iff who was awarded $1500. M. J. Lehman was counsel for plaintilï. The damage suit of August Mensing gainst the M. C. Ry Co., now occupies he attention of the court. Mensing vas ruptured by stepping from a car t Dowagiac which was not stopped at he depot platform. M. J. Lehman and udge Newkirk for the plaintilï; Lawence & Butterfield for the defendant. 'his case went to the jury at 5 o'clock ast evening. During the evening the ury eame in with a verdict awarding he plaintiff 32000 damages.
