Here is wbat the Evenim Times has to say of the flre in its office; "The Times had a close esoapBSatiirdaynight from being burned.out bviire or swept away by a ñood of water. At about 9 o'clock fire was discovered ín. the second Hoor of The Times building, where is located the office of Hctusfreund-Post. An alarm was turned ia and willing hands carried Editor Dano er, öï the Hausfreund, from the baxning building. When the ñre Lidies arrived there appeared to be a rousingr tire in the middle of the second story, and so two hose were turned loose and the room ilooded with water. ïhe tí rewas easily extinguished, but the water running through to The Times office below streaked and stripei the widls,. warped the ceiling and fioor and corered the machines with rust and dirt. The damage will amount probably t two hundred dollars, fully covered witlt insurance."
