OUR SOLDIER BOYS. Preparations for Eiicampment Have Airead y Begun. Gapt Ambröse Pack made the following appointmenta ar the m-jeiing of the Light Iiif.mtiy last evan'ng: To be Sergeants- Corporal Fred. Huntoon, Jolm Haarer and Rembert Joaïa; to be CorporalS, primates BMward McM'a'han, Kniest I'lielps and Fra-ik Tiee. One more appointmi'ut for corpora] renmins whfeh will 'be auard.-l by competitive exaroination, there heing a munber of men who are eqaaJly entitled to'it. The annual encampmeut of the M. X. C. opens at Island Lake, Aug. 8. The following commktee was appointed at the meeting last evening to arfor Co. A1, contrac-t for proisOttS, hire cooks, i.vaitcrs, etc.: Lieut. Xrmstrong, Sérg. Hun toom, Corp. Walz. Frank Hess and Arthur Jones. The ear of bnggage, also the cooks and waiters will precE-de the ,-onipiny one day, have the quarlers in readlness and a hot ineal on the table for the "Infauts" wheu they arrive. Tho encampment this year will be jalied "Camp Pingpee," in honor of onr most excellent governor and commander-inchief of the M. X. ;. The shelter tent drill of the Lijrht Iulanti-y on the court honse lawn last evening attracted quite a crowd of interested spectators. Tenta were pitched and struck with great rnpidity. Co. A has prorlded iis nmsicians- Alberto Long and George Fischer with the regnlation U. S. A. bugles to be nsed during encampment. The following men have been detailed for slgnal duty at camp: '.'o.. Bruce JIonroe, Geo. Cok', ('has. Dibl'Ie, Wesley AVilson and Arthur Warren. Dean Seabolt is raking nis brain for a sul table name for "Tent 6" at ühe coming encampment of the M. X. l.
