Newlburgh, X. Y.. July 14. - Melzmgah reservoir in Fishkill mount.-iii s. near Sfatteawan, burst at 3 o'clock tb.is morning, owiug vo the heavy rains. The water ran into the creƩis and two miles below, near Du-.'hess .Tuik:tiou. washed away briekyard biiilcltags, iiK-hiding a boardiug house o;eupied by laborers. It is reported here that seven oL them were drowned and 20 othera ave still mii-sing. Two hundred yards of the Hudson River railroad track ar Duchess Jimo'tiou were washed away. Trains are stalled on each side of the beach. Tbore are two reservoirs !n the ruountain, the Iowcr ene half a uiile distant. from the other. The upper dam gave way. Iettiug the volume of water tato the lower reservoir. This also burst, and the water rushed down through a ravine.
