In the flrst place I have a witness who is willing to swoar tltat he was offered $1,000 to sign sucb a document last spring. Then you will uotice that on this document one of the witnesses naires appears as Albert Kuapp. Now I do not dispute bui that Mr. Knapp signed a will, but I do contend that he did not sign this ore. 'My reasons? Why, bless you, Jlr. Knapp's name is not 'Albert Knapp,' but 'Alfred J. Knapp," and he told me himself that he signed his niwne 'Alfred J. Knapii' to the will he witnessed. The estáte was inventoried up to $8,500. There is a $2,500 incumbrance on the property and I have got to raise some money to pay ofT th' judgments that have' been seeured, against the estáte. It wlll leave nosv al:cnu. $4,000 or $5,000 worth of property, but I do not know wliat it will oost to resist the present attack on the propertjv" Tho aibovo outline? the dofense which Mr. Graves will tnake to the vill being probated.
