The war between the Bell Telephone eople and the new State Telephone ompany is now oa as iar as Ypsianti is concerned, and it will be a ase of the survival of the fittest, as ho company which f arnishes the best ervice will be the one to hold the big ïst of subscribers in this city. The Bell Telephone company has 9-Í ubscribers on its lines and the new tate Telephoue company 113. Bui hree snbscribers. viz., the high sohool, lis. Swift and the Commerical, haro ropped the Bell and goüe over to he new State company so far. Thero re 45 sutoseribers who are using om systems and each company will strive to retain theni. If they should all drop the Bell system, it would make its list dwindle down to 49. If, after a trial, the 45 are dissatisiied with the new State service, its list will drop to 68. Whichever way the 45 flnally determine upon, and it is not to be expected that they will continue to use both systems indefiniteiy, that .way will a big majority of aJl subscrïbers go. There are 1C2 subscribers to telephoneos in tiie city iiow, whïch would make au excellent exchange for one or the other of the comiauics. "Whieh compauy wlll win?
