Notable for its original simpllcity Ís a ball gown of jetted tulle over white wtth knots and belt of rich red glacé slik. Very dalnty is another ball gown oí deep rose satín, covered with a skirt of white net with applicauons of Bruges lace, raised flower of jet, green spangles and bulllon, A charming new ball gown has a skirt of flesh-colored satin, bodice oi mauve velvet trimmed with lace anc chiffon, while a garland of shaded pink and purple flowers hangs on the skirt One of the prettiest ball gowns seen was of fine silk cream net over bright rose slik, with a spangled bodice trimmed w.ith black velvet and diamonds. Flowers of raised silver ornamented the front of the bodice. Schemes of black aand white abound One dress had a skirt of black net richly embroldered in jet flowers over "slips" of white tulle and a white satin skirt. The back was flounced up to the walst. The bodice had little sleeves of puffed tulle over bands of jet. A white net ball dress is deliciously light, with its four foundations of tulle over a satin underskirt. The elabórate bodice has frills of tulle with a fichu of the same and magenta velvet to gi.ve a note of color, while a sash of white moire completes the ensemble. Au effective ball gown of pale-blue chiffon and lace is trlmmea with a sash of three shades of pink silk and geraniums of a deeper shade of rose velvet. A band of black velvet, with a diamond buckle, Hes flat across the front, leavlng a space where the bodice is cut into a deep V.
