A. pretty wedding took place last Thursday in Buchauan, Michigan; Miss Higbee, of that city, and Mr. Cari Rose, son of Dr. Rose of Aun Arbor, being the contractins parties. The ceremony was held at the home of the bride at S:30 p. m., ihe Rev. Devine officiating. The house decorationa were most tasteful and elegant, green and white being the prerailiu j colors in t!ie three long parlors. The corner of the further one, where the young couple stood, was formed into a bower of gieen aud white by vines trailiug trom the ceiling over white curtajus cm whicli were banked palnis and clusters of wiiiie oarnations. In the dining room the lride's table favored white and green, being hung with sinilax and having a center-pi s-.o f bride's roses. The rest of the room as decapated witli pink &weet peas. Miss Holden, of Michigan City, in a pretty figured organdie, and Mss Halleck, of Aun Arbor, in a dainty white silk muil over pink, took the part of usaers, entering firs.t and carrying ribbon througii the parlors u either side, formiug a ribbon aisle. Followiug them came tüe maid of honor, Miss Annie Meon of Watsaw, Ind., attractively gowned in pink silk with black velvet rtbbon trimmins. She marched through the aisle, kejpinix linie to the strains of the beaaiiful wedding march from IjOhengrin whicli was rendered by Miss Sadie Sheehan of Xiles, who wore a pretty flguxed organdie. Master Ricliaxd Anderson, the bride's young half-brother, in a whHe duck suit, performed. the duties of page, scattering sweet peas in the path oí the bride and groom, who entered together and walked slowly over the flowery path to their pla-'-es in ■ the floral booth. The minister who had already taken his place awaited their coming and befare long the rooms rang with the impressive words of the Episcopal mamage service. The bride was robed in a ha misóme white silk muil over white silk, and ceiried a tieautiful bouquet of wh'.te roses, the gift of the groom. She was without the accustomed bride"s veil. The gitts, whicli were very nirnerous and beautiful, were displayed during the evening. Where the young couple have goie no one knows, for they 14 miles to South Bend in order to escape the many friends who were lcoking out for them. Af ter September lOth they will be at home in Champaign, where Mr. Rose has the position of instructor in chemistry in the 'State Uuiversity of Illinois.
