At thoir ast meeting the ;vappointed to the Professorship of Gynaecoïogy and Obstetrics, Dr. Claudius B. Kinyon, of Rock Islani, Illinois; Instructor in Pathology, Dr. Albert J. Elliot, of Montreal, P. Q., ( '.inada. "In both these appoiutmeiits we have been peculiarly fortúnate. Dr. Kinyon is one of the most conspieuous homeopathie physicians in the" Unítñd States. For years he has been a usefu) member of the American Institnte, he has been president -oí the Illinois State society, he lias been chosen repeateclly to preside over the Tri-City Medical Club and is noy president of the Rock River Valley Homeopathie [ustitnte. "Special work in surgery and gynaeeology for many years has made Dr. Kmyon the c-onsulting and operating surgeon of western Illinois and eastern Iocwa. He attended the üniversity of Michigan back in the -70's. and graduated from the Chicago Homeopathie college in the cla.ss of '78. Prertous to his stndy of medicine, Dr. Kinyon graduated with high honor the Illinois State Normal University. He has identifiecl hlmself with uterests of his home city, and s recognized as one of the fore eitizens of Rock Island. liis fellow townsmen hare repeatedly ealled him to oflit-es oí municipal honor and sorrowfully.'witness his d?iiarturi froai their midst. We feel that we i be congratulated upon the acquisition of such a genial gentleman and so able a surgeon. The cha ir of Gynaeeology and Obstetries is spleadidly fllled in the person of Prof. Kinyon. We trust his seleetion will meet the rved approval of the Michigan profession. This approval can be shown ia oo better way than by senjing uumerous cases to his clinic. Dr. Elliott, chosen to fill this positioo, is a gradúate of McGill Universily and of our own college. For severa! years he has made a special stiuly of pathology.
