News comes from Kalainazoo that Miss Margiret Hutehinson, the 18year-old daughter of Rov. J. P. Butehiuson of Anu Arbor, has mysteriously disappeared in that city. Crave fears are entertained fo.r her safetv and the I olice of Kalamazoo are overrurning everything in searcli for soaie clue r.s to lier whereabotrts. Wednesday Miss Hutchinson started for Kalamazoo to enter the seminary there for a wiatér of study. She was in good health and spirits, looking forward with pleasurable exeitement to her school work. Yesterday a postal card dated Kalama-soo eame from her announcing tier safe arrival in that city. It was folio snortly after by a telegram from ti:e management of the Michigan Seminary, who had been advised of the girl's setting out on the journey, asking her whereabouts. Rev. Hutehlnson at once set out for Kalanmoo to sea.rch for nis daughler. A visit to the residence of ilutehiuson, 702 Church st-eet, found no one at home. Mrs. Hutchiüson being at Bay View and Rev. Hutcainson, as above stated, haviug goie (o Kalamazoo. Mrs. Blunt, a neigü'b'jr, was in charge of the houss and gay the facts in the case. No explana oi' the girl's d'isappearance oan be given. Word from ïtalamazoo states that the girl eashed a cheelí for $30 at a local bank. Her trunk has not yet been found. Pleva Múrder Trial Begnn, Kenosha, Wis., Sept. 22.- The trial of Mrs. Maria Pleva for poisoning her husband May 28 last is now in the circuit court. The defendant is charged with having adrninistered rajt poison to her husband, and at one time made a confession of the deed and asked that she might receive her sentence. Later, under the advice of her attorney, she deolared her innocence, and pleaded not guilty. The trial attracts a great deal of attention here. Sweedish Baptist Conference. St. Paul, Sept. 22.- All of the Swedish Baptist churches of the country will be represented at the eighteenth annual conferenca of this denomination, v.-hich opcns here to-morrow. Most of the delegates arrived to-day. The divines of the denomination assembled this morning in advance of the convention at the First Baptist church and discussed a number of mattere which will be brought before the body. Troops Slioot Strikers. London, Sept. 23.- A special dispatch from Melzo, twelve miles form Milan-, says that during strike disturbances there yesterday the troops were called out and fired upon the strikers, killing one man and wounding eight.
