The boot and slioe stock ol' Davls & Oo was sold at auction lasi 'Tinn-;tlay. Will Davis expects to go to California in about two weeks and ilu sale was made in order to disjoive the partnership between himsölf and Laura Davis-Ament. The stoei and fixtures inventoried up at $3,833.72, and the sale was made at "so nracb en the dollar." C. L. Yost was the auetioneer. Tlie fiivst bid was offered .by Josoph King wh said "40 cents." Charles ('Uamberlain ralsed it flve cents. Mr. King went to 47% cents. Thos. Green entered the contest and bid 50 eeors. Mr. Chamberlain said "55 cents."' Mr. Green raised it to 57% cents and immediately Mt. Ohamberlala bid GO cents. Mr. Yost tried to get the oth rs to bid Gl cents at least but they shook fheir lieads and GUr. ChambsWain was awarded the stock. Mr. Chaiaaberlain lias not yet decided whather he will close out the stock in fchls city or whether he will ship the stock to Marton, Ohio,
