Plymouth, Fobruary 1.- Tne mail Scpamer C han nel Queen lias been 10üilly wrecked off Ihe Island of Uuernsey, and it is reported that 22 ivcs were lost. The Channel Queen, which ran between Plymouth and the island of Jersey, struck on the roeks dunng a íog this inorning and sank. The owners of the vessel announie that there were G5 persons on board oj' her when she struck. The boats were launched vvith difficulty, one of them being swaraped. The Chaunel Queen's engiDes were Teversod wlien the rocks were seon, but it was then too late. The first boatload reached land and saugni: help of the fishermen, who made gallant rescues, although the heavy sea prevented their boat froni approaching the wreek. The survivors had to be dragged by ropes through the sea to the rescuing boats. The captain was the last to leave the wreek.
