Uolon before the of the l&rgest audiences to f.ssemWe in ünJverslty Hall tliis year. and was rendored in a manner entitling it to raak with any productlon of a similar t-haraeter yet given here. .Atiss Allee Balley, of the Uiiiversity School of Jlusic, sang the soprano part s with a sweetness and oxpression that was thoroughly appreciated by the audience. Her every nuniber was leng applaudtxl, aud the impression made was most favorable. Mrs. Charles Clement, who possésses a very elear and sweet voiee, was the contralto of the occasion. Her mly solo, "The Ivord is Mindïul of II is Owu." was finely given and was en thusiasiU-ally npplauded. Mr. Charles B. Stevens, tenor, fnll.v inaintained the repwtatlon made here In the past and san.!: with good effect. Mr. I.cwis Oamplon, bass, made bis first appearance here and as "Paul" ani 11 a masterful mannèr, and severai times aroused the audience to great enthusiasm. II s voice was uniler peTfect control and bis enunciation most distinct. Of the choras, too imich cannot lie said ín pralse; slnglng with precisión and power their wmk was a feature of the oratorio aml was applauded long and often. In tlie "Stonc Ilim" chorus iliey were at their best. A del .ib I ful feature was the w.uk ut' the orchestra. The concert was the fouTth in the Choral Union series and reflects ut i l h credit upon Prof. Stanley who drilled the chorus and last night directed il. The nexl number in the series will be a song recital by Gardner S. I.anison.
