Students iiiterested will please tafee aotice: Iu order that my questlon, as to liow mach tlie Uiiión soldiers and niyself lost by not being pald ii "rhe feest money" for our services, may be more accurately flgured, I suggest that the records of the war departinent, or else the Robellion records, will show the uimber of soldieïs and sailors iu service on each January 3st and July lst wliile the war lasted, the resnlts to be based on totals upon these dates. As to my own service, I was sworn in and conimenced drawing pay at $U per month, on Aug. 2, 1862, and was mustered out Aug. 16, 18G5, having clrawB pay at $13 per month all of that time. My own service was, theretoro, three years and fourteeu days. H. S. Governor.
